Gioele Amaro
Italy. 1986
Gioele Amaro is a Paris based, Italian artist who often defines himself as a digital painter. His body of work blends, distorts, transforms and blurs the line between traditional and new media.
His process involves creating several layers using different materials and varnishes, to create a distorted depiction of known images creating a unique figurative expression that highlights the known, while exploring that which is intangible. His work also plays with the known associations of colours and objects, using it to better realise his anamorphic pieces.
The presentation of the work by Gioele Amaro is part of a collaboration with Almine Rech.
