Artist Marilyn Sonneveld’s site-specific artwork “When the Sun Comes Up” for Kunsthal Light explores the interaction between time, changing light, and her own pregnancy. Using colored glass panels and sculptures, Sonneveld symbolically depicts the emotional journey of becoming a mother, drawing inspiration from the human body. This is her first work focused on her own body, representing the intensity of pregnancy and the transformative experiences she undergoes.
